Information on the different cities in Southwest Florida:
Southwest Florida includes a large geographic area from Marco Island to the south, heading north through Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Punta Gorda. Within each city there are some truly excellent real estate values from one bedroom condos to million dollar estate homes on the water. The values for real estate here are exceptional compared to other states and many of my buyers have been able to buy the same sized home in Cape Coral for 60% of the price than they can buy in Canada or the colder areas of the United States.
Starting with Naples. Naples homes under $400,000. This city is famous for its 5th avenue shopping area, exceptional restaurants, less than 2 hour proximity to the East Coast of Florida of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. In Naples is Mercato which combines the best of city chic residential living with upscale shopping, dining and entertainment in one choice location that is literally just minutes to the pristine beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Also located in North Naples is The Philharmonic Center of the Arts. From Condos to Mansions Naples offers all price ranges to buy.
To the North of Naples is Bonita Springs. Famous for its Coconut Point Mall and various amenity laden communities that were originally developed by The Bonita Bay Group. You can visit any of the more than 130 boutique shops at the Coconut Creek Mall and enjoy entertainment from musicians and other entertainment on the weekends. Home to great restaurants for every taste as well.
Next to the North is Estero which has some of the best golf courses in Southwest Florida and also has The Gulf Coast Town Center and Miromar Outlets for shopping and restaurants. Estero homes under $300,000. Some restaurants include: Blue Sushi, PF Changs, Aurelio’s Pizza, etc. Check out the great concerts and shows at our very own Germain Arena. We are also proud to call FGCU home-Florida Gulfcoast University. The campus is beautiful and is consistently expanding. Located on the border of Fort Myers & Estero is the community of Miromar Lakes that has two enormous lakes that have white sand beaches, resort style pools, a cabana and a gourmet restaurant. Miromar Lakes was voted #1 community to live in for the entire United States.
Next to the north is Fort Myers.
Fort Myers homes listed between $150,000 to $250,000
Fort Myers was made famous when Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, decided to buy and build homes on the Caloosahatchee River, come visit the Edison/Ford Winter Estates and step back in time. Fort Myers is gateway to Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach where you will find some of the whitest sand beaches in the country. Fort Myers new revitalized Downtown area is a Mecca of shops, restaurants and historical buildings and is home to the Harborside Event center right up the street from the Edison Mall.
Next is Cape Coral. Cape Coral is a boater’s paradise with miles of navigable canals. Condos, single family homes and luxury high rises, the “Cape” as locals call Cape Coral has some of the best values in real estate in all of Southwest Florida. Cape Coral schools boast “A” rated for the majority of their schools. Truly a great place to raise your family with many things to do and see. Picnic at Four Freedoms Park or spend the day at the beach along the Caloosahatchee River at Cape Coral Marina and Yacht club. Home to Marina Village a hidden gem for locals who want to get away and not have to travel far. Just a few streets over we have beautiful Cape Harbor and Marina, home to boutique shops, great restaurants such as Rum Runners and The Joint among others.
Thank you for visiting my site and I would love to talk to you more about the great deals in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and the rest of Southwest Florida when you are ready to buy a second home or investment property.
