New Home Permit information for Lee County June 2012

In the month of June there were 56 single-family home permits pulled in Lee County, furthering the momentum of the new construction industry is improving.

During June, contractors pulled 56 permits to build single-family houses collectively valued at more than $10.5 million in unincorporated Lee County. That compares to 45 permits issued in May and 45 issued in June 2011, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development.

Twenty-nine multi-family units were permitted in June compared to 16 in May and six in June 2011.

Twenty-five new commercial permits were valued at $4.6 million, compared to $5.4 million in May and $3.2 million in June 2011.

During June, Lee County Community Development issued 2,712 permits of all kinds and has issued 16,688 for the year to date.

Lee County Community Development oversees planning, zoning, development and building services, environmental review, building inspection, and code enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Lee County.
